Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College - General Santos City


The school offers elementary and secondary education. It also offers technical and short courses such as Associate in Computer Technology and Associate in Office Administration. Its bachelor degree programs include business economics, marketing, financial management, secondary education, criminology, accountancy, business management, and elementary education. The degree programs in education are broken down further into specific specializations such as math, English, general science, and Filipino.
Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges also offers master's degrees in education courses. Some of the education related master's degrees include education management, English, and guidance and counseling. Located in Pioneer Avenue, General Santos City, South Cotabato, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College (RMMC) derived its name from one of the most loved Philippine Presidents. Founded on August 31, 1907, it was the schools late President Mr. Florante Millado who made a personal request to Mrs. Luz Magsaysay, wife of former President Ramon Magsaysay to add the name of the former Chief Executive. In fact, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College was founded in honor of the late Philippine President.





Courses Offered

Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College is a privately-owned non-sectarian institution offering various 2-year and 4-year courses in Information Technology, Accountancy, Liberal Arts, Business, Engineering, Criminology, Education, and Social Work as well as Graduate Studies in Education.
It is an institution with a Level 1 Accreditation valid until October 2012 from The Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) after meeting the required standards set forth by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).
Its Business Education/Commerce, Criminology, and Liberal Arts programs have achieved Level 1 accreditation while its Elementary Education and Secondary Education courses have reached Candidate Level. In the years to come, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College is bent on receiving accreditations for its other programs as well. Last July 2010, seven of its programs - namely Civil Engineering, Accountancy, High School, Information Technology, MA in Education, Office Administration, and Computer Science- have been subjected to Consultancy Visits.
Aside from these courses, RMMC likewise offers three TESDA Accredited Programs namely Medical Transcription, Contact Center Services, and a Ladder zed BS Information Technology.
